Flux Drive

Overview: FluxDrive has designed a patented magnetic ASD that is simple, rugged and contains no electronic components, but rather uses permanent magnets and an axially adjustable induction-rotor. The simplicity of the product reduces installation cost, increases the operating life of the equipment installed on and provides up to 70% energy-savings.

No Harmonics, Low Cost. Designed for soft-start and variable speed applications, Flux Drive mechanical Adjustable Speed Drives (ASDs) provide a cost-effective and high efficiency alternative to variable frequency drives (VFDs).

Instead of relying on electromagnets or control circuits, Flux Drive products use mechanical positioning to determine the operating speed. As a result, the patented design has several distinct advantages over VFDs:

·         No harmonics generated to interfere with overall motor and system performance.

·         Immunity from power spikes, sags or dirty power effects that reduce efficiency and reliability.

·         Higher operating efficiencies than other drives with similar loads over a wide range of slip speed.
